On 23 Aug, the Annual Family Open Day was organized?and held?at the Karot Hydropower Project?site, keeping up with the?tradition of welcoming families of the colleagues to immerse themselves in the world of clean energy and sustainable development. The event took place amidst the picturesque surroundings of the?Project, offering an engaging and educational experience for all attendees.
CTG Asia-Africa representatives, alongside the?project?team, warmly welcomed the families to the event?site.?
The day began with welcoming?the participants at Karot site office,?following by national anthem of Pakistan and a briefing session featuring a video on the background and progress of the Project and introduction about China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG).
During the tour, visitors gained valuable insights into the project’s operational capabilities and its commitment to generating clean energy. The?operation staff gave?detailed explanations about the plant's operations, addressing various queries from the visitors. Later that day, the families were treated to a delightful Pakistani cuisine lunch at the Project?Dining Hall, adding a savory touch to the day.
In line with CTG Asia-Africa’s vision to foster a respectful cross-cultural environment and promote sustainable practices, the Family Open Day is held as an important annual event dedicated to the?families?of the professionals. This?activity features?a blend of education and entertainment. Visitors?have explored the impressive infrastructure of the 720 MW Karot Hydropower Project, witnessing the power of the spillway and dam structures, and learning about the process of generating clean electricity from water resources. It also?left attendees with a deeper appreciation for the project's innovative technology and environmental initiatives taken by?the Karot HPP.
