This August, for the 6th consecutive year, CTG Brasil?has realized carbon neutrality and ?achieved the?Gold Seal of the GHG Protocol?as well,?recognizing its?commitment to best practices in climate action.?
This is the highest level of recognition in the Brazilian program established by the Center for Sustainability Studies at Funda??o Getulio Vargas (GVces), in partnership with the Ministry of the Environment. Receiving the GHG Protocol Gold Seal attests to its?excellence and transparency in quantifying, managing, and disclosing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.?
This certification is more than a trophy. It proves that CTG Brasil’s?emissions inventory is carried out with the utmost seriousness and technical rigor, covering Scopes 1, 2, and 3. In addition, it is verified by an independent audit and has its data disclosed publicly, in line with the highest international standards.
This award shows that its?commitment to sustainability is real and verifiable. It guarantees that CTG Brasil?is?doing its?part in the fight against climate change, with transparency and responsibility.
Simone Leite dos Santos, Environmental Specialist at CTG Brasil and the professional responsible for coordinating the process that led the company?to this certification, shared her thoughts on the achievement:
“Receiving the Gold Seal for the 6th consecutive year is more than technical recognition — it’s proof that we have a team committed to and aligned with the highest standards of transparency and sustainability. This result is the outcome of the work of many hands, from those who collect and organize the data to those who consolidate and validate each piece of information.”
Looking ahead, the?journey continues and, in the next cycle, the company?will face an exciting challenge:?expanding the inventory and verification process to its?new operations in Arinos Solar Project (MG) and Serra da Palmeira?Wind Project?(PB).
It will be an opportunity to start from scratch a process that, in the hydroelectric segment, is already highly consolidated — and the company is?more than ready to replicate the same standard of excellence and transparency.
This achievement belongs to each one of the team and together, the company is building a more solid and sustainable future, with a positive impact on the planet.?
